Congratulations to 2023 recipients of the HMS Scholarship:
Emily Robb and Kyla McDonald.

Emily Robb -

We were very pleased to have a visit from Emily Robb and some of her family members this weekend. Emily is one of the recipients of the HMS Scholarship and is going to apply the $500 to her third year agroecology studies at the University of Manitoba. We spent some time touring the Harvest Moon Learning Centre and we learned that Emily has family roots in Clearwater! Small world. Emily has been invited to come back in September to celebrate with us at the Harvest Moon Festival. Congratulations, Emily!

Kyla McDonald - Cartwright, MB

Kyla came by the Harvest Moon Learning Centre after being in the fields around Killarney all day. She's going to use the $500 towards tuition for her third year of Agribusiness at the University of Manitoba.

Kyla's application outlined how "regenerative agriculture is extremely important to the future of the agriculture industry. By practicing this, farmers are working with nature to promote soil biodiversity, improve SOM, and protect the soil which all help to reverse climate change." That really struck a chord with us. Congratulations, Kyla!
