As promised, some of the Manitoba Farm Mentorship program activities will now be housed under the Harvest Moon Society. Here, the MFM-inspired on-farm internship program continues to offer important opportunities for aspiring farmers interested in learning hands-on practical skills before starting a farm.
Below are short profiles from Manitoba (and Saskatchewan) farm mentors available for 2013. If you are interested in contacting one of these mentors about an on-farm internship, please read through the details of our internship program and submit an application. Your $30 application fee will give you access to detailed mentor profiles indicating what each mentor expects from and offers to interns.
Internships through the Harvest Moon Society are geared towards people who live in and intend to farm on the Canadian prairies. We direct other interns and volunteers to national and international mentorship programs including SOIL and WWOOF.
