This workshop is for people who feel they carry a story inside, but need finesse and instruction to bring it out.
There are innovative exercises, interesting and stimulating activities, sharing circles, and quiet time alone to write. The goal of this writers’ workshop is to offer writers time and a quiet place to write.
The framework of the workshop will be based on “Storyteller: Writing Lessons from Clarion Writers’ Workshop” by Kate Wilhelm. Participants are engaged in daily writing exercises with the instructor and time will be set aside for them to develop short stories. Participants also have a chance to learn about character development, setting, plot and other writing elements.
