Biography
Pamela Cavers has been living in the country growing her own food for over 15 years. She came from a family that loved traditional food and new what it took to get it on the table. Along her farming road she has learnt many things, from butchering animals to making charcuterie, growing big gardens to seed saving. Soap making, composting, candle making, wild crafting and picture taking are some of her hobbies.
She and her husband, Clint, have taken lead roles in the Harvest Moon Local Food Initiative. They both believe that there has to be a better way to have safe, sustainable food sources available in Manitoba. Pamela and Clinton have a on farm Meat shop and direct market all their own animals directly to families.
Beside Farming and teaching they are busy guiding their 3 daughters along their own paths. Pamela loves to learn about new and very old ideas and is always eager to try another approach to something.
