One of the key strengths of the Harvest Moon Society is the HMS Learning Centre in Clearwater, a building that is owned by HMS and used as a teaching, learning and gathering space for people from all over Manitoba and beyond.
Over the years, the building has been upgraded to better accommodate the activities of the organization. As the HMS and its goals as an organization continue to grow and evolve, the Learning Centre undergoes changes as well.
The kitchen in the learning centre is in need of upgrades. Cooking is a crucial component of HMS activities, whether it be for meetings, celebrations, festival workshops or courses offered by the organization, which often have an enrollment of 30 people or more.
As well, it is a dream of HMS to have a commercial kitchen where people within HMS and the wider community can add value to raw products and establish enterprises.
In order for the kitchen to be renovated and brought up to code, we need your help. We are seeking both monetary and in-kind donations that will be used to develop the kitchen into a pleasant and highly functional meeting, cooking, serving and processing space.
If you have any questions about this initiative, we would be happy to discuss it with you. Contact: info@harvestmoonsociety.org
